ABOUT THE CLINIC
Limestone Therapeutic Massage Clinic is located in beautiful Coldstream, British Columbia, celebrating its grand opening in early 2017. It's name comes from the limestone that is found in nearby Kalamalka Lake . In the summers, the limestone dissolves and makes the lake a vibrant, deep lime colour and in the winter, as it solidifies, it goes back to the traditional grey-blue of other nearby lakes.
The lime fruit is refreshing and rejuvenating which falls in line with the clean, fresh, rejuvenating feeling of massage,
and with that, a name was born.

At Limestone, we offer therapeutic massage to assist the body in coming back to proper biomechanics so  that it can function in a healthy, pain free manner. The goal is to make your life more comfortable and help to bring you back into full health so you can fully enjoy life.

Massage therapy can treat and/or relieve symptoms from many conditions including, but not limited to:
Headaches/Migraines
Pregnancy
Piriformis Syndrome
Sciatica
Sprains, Strains & Tendonitis
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Whiplash
And so many more!

"I have suffered with neck and upper shoulder pain for over 20 years from a car accident.  Working numerous hours per week in front of a computer only increases the tension in those areas.   Yoga, Pilates and "great" massages keep me balanced with my active lifestyle.  Since meeting Angel, I have had such quick relief from her very unique massage techniques.  At last I've found someone who can provide relief without suffering for days after treatments!   Angel is extremely knowledgeable, caring and professional. I highly recommend you visit her new, comfortable clinic."

About the Clinic

ABOUT ANGEL HOUSTON R.M.T.

Angel Houston graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in August 2016 and has been a registered massage therapist ever since. Angel has since gone back to the massage college to supervise clinics and inreaches, helping the next generation of RMTs to be successful.

Angel began her career path as a dental assistant. After almost 2 decades of treating patients in the dental office, and learning the details of the mouth and jaw, Angel decided she was ready for a change.

Angel is fascinated by the human body and all that it can do, she loves working with people and wanted to continue in the health care field. She loves puzzles, and what is the human body if not a big puzzle, there to see which pieces are missing and how to help relieve the pain it may be experiencing. Massage therapy fit nicely into the things that she was looking for. The more she learns about the body, the more she believes that massage is a great way to help the body heal and she tries to provide education to her patients so they can be an active part in their own healing process.

Angel has a special interest in treating headaches, migraines, neck and jaw related injuries. She understands how debilitating neck and head pain can be and has seen first hand the benefits massage can offer. With her history in the dental field, she can provide a unique perception of issues in the head and jaw.

Angel is professional, considerate, and listens to what you need or want with regards to your treatment. You can tell her end goal is to help you feel and function better in the long run. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs massage therapy.

During the first  appointment, a few minutes will be set aside for reviewing your health history, discussion of the reason for your visit and orthopaedic testing. Having your health history filled out ahead of time will expedite this so we can have as much actual treatment time as possible.

How to Find Limestone Massage
Water Lily
FAQ Anchor
  • What do I need to know regarding Covid-19?
    - Masks are only required during any work being done on your neck or head region as we are very close to one another's faces. - Don't come if you don't feel well, even if it is just 'under the weather'. - Use hand sanitizer when you come inside. - All linens are laundered at a very high heat and all surfaces are disinfected. I never re-use anything that has not been cleaned.
  • Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, definitely. Send me an email and I'd be happy to help you with that.
  • Do I need a prescription from my doctor to come for a massage?
Some insurance companies do require prescriptions (very few), but I do not. You will have to check with your insurance company to find out if you are required to have one.
  • What should I bring?
    - Health history form. (You can fill it out online, save it to your computer as a PDF and then send it to me by email if you would like, or you can print it out and bring it with you). -You can find the health history form next to the big arrow on the 'First Appoinment' page of this website. - Insurance information - Mask
  • Do you work with children?
    Absolutely. Kids are always welcome.
  • When should I arrive?
Please arrive at the time of your booked appointment. There is no waiting room and I use the time between appoinments to clean and prepare for the next patient, so being right on time is best.
  • Where should I park?
Please park at the top of the driveway on the left side (with your e-brake on!) Follow the path on the left side of the house, through the gate. There is a door with a Limestone sign on it. Knock and I will be right there.
  • Do you have wheelchair access?
Unfortunately, I do not. There is one step up to the clinic, so if that is not manageable for you, then I sincerely apologize.
  • Do you do deep massage?
The short answer is yes. I can work at the depth that fits what you need and want in each treatment. Ideally, the depth of massage should feel good and not cause you to tense up. If it is too painful, please let me know. I can tell if something feels tight, but not if it hurts. If it hurts, I can adjust to your desired pressure to customize the massage to your comfort.
  • Some RMTs talk a lot. What about you?
This is fully up to you. If you prefer to chat, that is great. If you prefer to relax quietly, that is great also. During your massage, if you chat, I am happy to chat back. If/when you want to have quiet, go ahead and stop talking and I will too.
  • Underwear or no underwear?
It is up to you. You will only be undraped in the areas that we are working on and never without consent. If there is a need to work in a sensitive area, we will discuss the reasons and you will have the option to say no. Absolutely no pressure.
  • Which insurance companies do you direct bill to?
In short, as many as will let me. The longer answer is: - Telus Health (includes 30+ insurances including Sunlife, CanadaLife, Alberta Blue Cross, RWAM, Chamber of Commerce etc. Check the website for others) - Provider Connect (includes 5 insurances including Green Sheild and others) - ClaimsXChange (includes Equitable Life) - Medavie Blue Cross (includes RCMP, Veteran's Affairs) - Pacific Blue Cross - ICBC - If you can't find your insurance company, send me an email and I will let you know. Not all insurances allow direct billing but most do.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    VISA Mastercard Debit Cash Insurance
  • Do you accept tips?
Short answer, no. It is discouraged for RMTs to accept tips. If you feel I've done a good job, I'd appreciate a Google review or a referral to a friend!
